Hi, For lack of a better term, Big Brother Literature is defined as books written about the not so distant future, or historical fiction in which totalitarian governments (or corporations/religious organizations)have an iron grip on a given society. My summer project is to re-read the three I have, Huxley's "Brave New World", Orwell's "1984", and Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451," which believe it or not I've never read. It won't take all summer, I'll probably be done by early July, but I'd like to read more. I think Orwell's 1984 is the standard for this type of literature, but Huxley is pretty good too. I'd also like to read Robert Harris' "Fatherland," however, it's been quite hard to find at the local B&N. So what else am I missing? Without getting into SB territory, I think these books are quite topical now, so I'd like to expand my knowledge. Can you suggest any others, and what do you think the best ones are? Any Suggestion Would be appreciate. I didn't find right solution on the internet. Reference: arstechnica.com/civis/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=821141saas promotion
